Dagashi Kashi is a Japanese anime series based on the manga written by Kotoyoma and directed by the Shigehito Takayanagi. It was aired from the year 2016 to 2018 within total 24 episodes have been broadcasted. There have no reported fillers of Dagashi Kashi.
The storyline begins with that there is a sweet shop named Shikada Dagashi, which was owned by Shikada family and they are running this shop from nine generations. There is the main protagonist named Kokonotsu who was the heir of Shikada family, does not want to be involved in the family business and take over the shop from his father Yo. One day a businesswoman Hotaru Shidare who runs the big sweet manufacturing enterprise named Shidare Corporation to recruit Yo to work for his company. But Yo refuses to do that and given her the condition to first convince his son Kokonotsu to take over his family business.
From here storylines towards the Hotau’s main aim of convincing Kokonotsu to take over his family shop and enlighten him about the true joy of delicious and nostalgic Shikada Dagashi.
